We expect all companies to abide by Outsmart’s Charter – Standard of Best Practice, which can be found here.
In addition to the application form, Associate Membership applicants will need to send us three written business references (either client, media agency or Out of Home specialist) including name, position, company, phone number and a short written reference about your services.
As a part of your membership, we ask for your company’s quarterly revenue. We use this to compile the industry’s total revenue, which is shared with all members as well as the Advertising Association (AA) on a quarterly basis. It is completely confidential; individual company revenues are never released to the AA or other members of Outsmart. The figures should be before deduction of agency commission, but excluding production unless commissionable.
We also make it a condition that no member can be involved in any illegal activity, such as flyposting or advertising on trailers in fields.
