JCDecaux Community Channel supports Birmingham Pride’s drive for inclusion

27th May 2025

The JCDecaux Community Channel is proud to support Birmingham Pride as it launches a bold new strategy focused on equity, inclusion, and community impact.

As one of the UK’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations, Birmingham Pride attracts tens of thousands each year. In 2025, the festival is expanding its efforts to ensure Pride is accessible to everyone—particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Key initiatives include:

  • A Low-Income Ticket Scheme offering discounted access for individuals on state support, made possible with backing from Birmingham City University, Colmore BID and Millennium Point.
  • The return of the Big Free Community Event, featuring local performers, wellbeing support, and full accessibility services. Over 60% of last year’s attendees were from some of the most deprived areas in the country.
  • A new LGBTQ+ Community Support Hub providing mental health support, sexual health services, and advocacy in partnership with Birmingham LGBT.

To help raise awareness of these inclusive programmes, JCDecaux is running a citywide campaign on our digital screens in Birmingham.

“We are proud to be supporting Birmingham Pride, using our digital assets in Birmingham city centre to help raise awareness of the festival. The JCDecaux Community Channel creates real value through the power of the public screen and aims to amplify Out-of-Home’s role as a force for good in the community.”
