Limited Space Advances Digital Upgrade Programme with Manchester Arndale Installation

3rd February 2026

Limited Space, the specialist in retail and lifestyle destination media, continues the next phase of its digital upgrade programme as part of a wider investment in its premium out-of-home portfolio. Building on recent upgrades at flagship retail destinations including Bluewater and Bullring, the latest installation sees a new high-resolution, large-format LED display unveiled at Manchester Arndale - one of the UK’s busiest retail destinations.

The Manchester Arndale display has been manufactured by Absen, a global leader in LED technology, and delivered by long-term partners EcoVista. Featuring an ultra-fine 1.5mm pixel pitch, the screen delivers exceptional image clarity, richer colour reproduction and significantly increased visual impact, ensuring brand messaging stands out in a high-footfall environment.

The screen also utilises advanced COB (Chip on Board) LED technology - a newer, more robust LED format specifically designed for high-traffic public spaces. The COB surface is highly durable and can be safely touched by the public, opening up new creative possibilities for interactive and experiential campaigns, while providing a more immersive and engaging experience for audiences.

Alongside its enhanced visual performance, the new installation delivers notable sustainability and operational benefits. The LED display consumes substantially less power than the LCD screen it replaces, reinforcing Limited Space’s ongoing commitment to more energy-efficient, future-proof media solutions for brands and retail partners alike.

Nick Bedford, Co Managing Director at Limited Space, said: “At Limited Space, we’re focused on continually raising the bar across our entire digital estate. From visual performance and durability to sustainability, these upgrades reflect our commitment to delivering media that is truly impactful, robust and responsible in equal measure. For our partners and clients, this means more reliable platforms, stronger creative impact, reduced operational risk and media investments that stand up both commercially and environmentally.”

The Manchester Arndale installation sets the standard for Limited Space’s 2026 upgrade programme, with further large-format LED deployments planned across its retail portfolio, including Metrocentre and Eldon Square, as the rollout continues through Q1 and beyond.
