Outdo Appointed to Manage Major Part of Leeds’ Outdoor Advertising Network

30th April 2026

Outdo has become the largest outdoor media owner in Leeds by number of sites, following a major contract award by Leeds City Council that sees the company now operate more than 2,000 advertising sites across the city.

The West Yorkshire-headquartered media owner now delivers a comprehensive media network spanning lamppost banners, roundabout sponsorship and lightboxes. The portfolio covers key routes and high-footfall areas across Leeds, including The Headrow, Briggate and Boar Lane.

Its wider portfolio also includes a digital screen located in the Elland Road area.

Outdo’s presence also extends to Leeds Bradford Airport and across surrounding areas including Headingley, Otley and Wetherby, strengthening its reach across the wider region. As one of the UK’s largest cities, with a population of over 800,000, Leeds offers significant reach for advertisers.

Across the city, Outdo is already working with a range of clients, including White Rose Shopping Centre, Opera North and Leeds Arts University.

The network forms part of Outdo’s continued growth, with more than 33,000 sites now operated nationwide, making it the largest Northern-based outdoor media owner by number of sites. The Leeds contract also strengthens Outdo’s presence across Yorkshire, joining existing agreements in North Yorkshire, Kirklees, Wakefield, Barnsley and Calderdale, enabling brands to plan and deliver campaigns at true regional scale.

It also builds on a series of recent contract wins across the UK, including in Wales, Scotland, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Mike Brennan, CEO at Outdo, said:

“Leeds is a hugely important city for us, and as a West Yorkshire-based business, it’s particularly meaningful to strengthen our presence here.

On a personal note, as a long-standing Leeds fan, having our sites live around Elland Road is definitely a highlight.

This scale allows us to offer advertisers real, city-wide coverage, and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop the network and helping brands reach audiences across Leeds.”

Outdo’s presence in Leeds reflects increasing demand from regional advertisers and agencies for large-scale outdoor campaigns outside London, particularly in high-growth cities. With its strengthened footprint, the company is now able to deliver full city takeovers, combining multiple formats to create high-impact, multi-touchpoint campaigns.
