Richard Blackburn to Step Down as UK Managing Director of Executive Channel Network (ECN) London

11th August 2025

Richard Blackburn, UK Managing Director of Executive Channel Network
(ECN), has stepped down from the business after nearly eight years in the role
and more than four decades in the media industry.

Since joining ECN in 2017, Blackburn has overseen the growth of the company’s UK operations, shaped commercial strategy and helped cement ECN’s position as a premium digital communications platform in key office environments. His leadership through a period of economic headwinds and industry transformation has earned respect across the Out of Home sector.

Reflecting on his departure, Blackburn said:

“It’s been a privilege to lead ECN’s UK team and to contribute to a business that has consistently punched above its weight. We’ve built something to be proud of. After 44 years in the industry, now feels like a natural moment to take stock, recalibrate and explore what’s next; without the daily race
for the 6.30am train to London.”

Charles Parry-Okeden, ECN’s Global CEO, commented:

“Richard has been a trusted leader, colleague and friend. His impact on our business has been significant and lasting, and we thank him for his commitment and contribution.”

Blackburn will continue to engage with the wider media and advertising community in a new capacity, exploring opportunities that build on his deep expertise in Out of Home, commercial partnerships and strategic growth.
